{"id":987494804,"date":"2025-11-05T13:31:05","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T13:31:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expoplasticos.mx\/2026\/?p=987494804"},"modified":"2025-11-11T13:33:36","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T13:33:36","slug":"microrganismos-y-virus-podrian-ser-la-clave-para-acelerar-la-biodegradacion-de-bioplasticos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expoplasticos.mx\/2026\/microrganismos-y-virus-podrian-ser-la-clave-para-acelerar-la-biodegradacion-de-bioplasticos\/","title":{"rendered":"Microrganismos y virus podr\u00edan ser la clave para acelerar la biodegradaci\u00f3n de biopl\u00e1sticos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AIMPLAS lidera el proyecto MICROFAGO, una investigaci\u00f3n que emplea virus y microorganismos beneficiosos para acelerar la biodegradaci\u00f3n de biopl\u00e1sticos.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Los virus son microorganismos responsables de millones infecciones en todo el mundo, pero ahora, Aimplas, Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico del Pl\u00e1stico, investiga su posible aplicaci\u00f3n en procesos para acelerar la biodegradaci\u00f3n de biopl\u00e1sticos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto,&nbsp;coordinado por AIMPLAS, cuenta con la participaci\u00f3n del Departamento de Biolog\u00eda Vegetal de la Facultat de Farm\u00e0cia de la Universitat de Val\u00e8ncia, Darwin Bioprospecting Excellence, Evolving Therapeutics y la empresa Gesti\u00f3n Integral de Residuos S\u00f3lidos (GIRSA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cMICROFAGO nos permitir\u00e1 mejorar los procesos de tratamiento de biopl\u00e1sticos compostables sin necesidad de modificar las instalaciones existentes, lo que es clave para facilitar su implantaci\u00f3n\u201d, explic\u00f3 <strong>Giovanni Gadaleta<\/strong>, investigador del Laboratorio de Biodegradabilidad y Compostabilidad en AIMPLAS.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>El enfoque del proyecto combina <strong>biotecnolog\u00eda y econom\u00eda circular<\/strong>. Por un lado, se utilizan fagos \u2014virus que atacan bacterias espec\u00edficas\u2014 para eliminar aquellas que obstaculizan la degradaci\u00f3n natural. Por otro, se promueve el crecimiento de microorganismos beneficiosos que favorecen la descomposici\u00f3n del material pl\u00e1stico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLa clave est\u00e1 en identificar los microorganismos m\u00e1s activos y asegurarnos de que est\u00e9n presentes en cantidad suficiente para que el proceso sea realmente eficiente\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 Gadaleta. La eficacia de estas t\u00e9cnicas ser\u00e1 evaluada a diferentes escalas \u2014laboratorio, piloto e industrial\u2014 siguiendo los ensayos de <strong>biodegradaci\u00f3n y fragmentaci\u00f3n<\/strong> establecidos por la normativa vigente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ambienteplastico.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/foto_aimplas_2_051125-1-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impacto ambiental y beneficios para la industria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s del beneficio ambiental, el proyecto representa una oportunidad pr\u00e1ctica para las empresas y plantas de gesti\u00f3n de residuos. \u201cCon este enfoque, podemos integrar la biodegradaci\u00f3n de biopl\u00e1sticos en los procesos actuales sin grandes inversiones en nuevas infraestructuras\u201d, destac\u00f3 el investigador de AIMPLAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El objetivo final es desarrollar un <strong>proceso biotecnol\u00f3gico<\/strong> innovador y ecol\u00f3gicamente seguro que acelere la degradaci\u00f3n de los biopl\u00e1sticos compostables.
