Seg\u00fan los expertos, si se captura y se transforma eficientemente, el pa\u00eds podr\u00eda convertirse en una potencia exportadora de pol\u00edmeros, productos qu\u00edmicos y combustibles limpios.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Finlandia<\/strong> se perfila como un l\u00edder mundial en la captura de carbono, aprovechando su vasta riqueza forestal para transformar el di\u00f3xido de carbono (CO\u2082) derivado de <strong>residuos de madera<\/strong> en productos de alto valor a\u00f1adido como <strong>pl\u00e1sticos sostenibles,<\/strong> productos qu\u00edmicos y combustibles a base de hidr\u00f3geno verde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta ambiciosa visi\u00f3n est\u00e1 respaldada por investigaciones conjuntas del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n T\u00e9cnica VTT de Finlandia y la Universidad LUT, que han desarrollado nuevas tecnolog\u00edas para capturar y reutilizar el CO\u2082 generado en la industria forestal, especialmente durante la incineraci\u00f3n de residuos. Los investigadores han logrado convertir este gas en<strong> Polipropileno<\/strong> y<strong> Polietileno<\/strong>, dos pl\u00e1sticos ampliamente utilizados en aplicaciones cotidianas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El proyecto Forest CUMP: innovaci\u00f3n con impacto industrial<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante tres a\u00f1os, el proyecto <a href=\"https:\/\/woodcentral.com.au\/scientists-turn-co2-from-wood-waste-into-new-plastic-materials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Forest CUMP<\/a> ha reunido a l\u00edderes del sector como Mets\u00e4 Group y Borealis, una de las principales compa\u00f1\u00edas petroqu\u00edmicas del mundo. Su objetivo: transformar el CO\u2082 biog\u00e9nico en productos industriales m\u00e1s sostenibles, reduciendo as\u00ed la dependencia de materias primas f\u00f3siles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cLa captura de di\u00f3xido de carbono de origen forestal representa una oportunidad \u00fanica para Finlandia. Permite crear nuevas cadenas de valor industriales y avanzar hacia una econom\u00eda baja en carbono\u201d, explic\u00f3 <strong>Kaija Pehu-Lehtonen<\/strong>, directora del proyecto de captura de carbono en Mets\u00e4 Group.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finlandia: un ecosistema ideal para el aprovechamiento del CO\u2082 biog\u00e9nico de residuos de madera<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente, Finlandia cuenta con grandes <strong>reservas de CO\u2082 biog\u00e9nico<\/strong>, una fuente renovable y m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de aprovechar que las alternativas f\u00f3siles. Estas emisiones provienen principalmente de las instalaciones industriales forestales, algo poco com\u00fan en Europa fuera de los pa\u00edses n\u00f3rdicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, el pa\u00eds posee una <strong>infraestructura energ\u00e9tica<\/strong> robusta y bien adaptada al crecimiento del hidr\u00f3geno verde. Esto facilita el desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas basadas en electr\u00f3lisis para producir hidr\u00f3geno limpio, clave para avanzar en la descarbonizaci\u00f3n industrial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cA medida que abandonamos los combustibles f\u00f3siles, el reto ser\u00e1 garantizar un suministro estable de hidr\u00f3geno verde. Finlandia tiene el potencial para producirlo a gran escala\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Juha Lehtonen, profesor de investigaci\u00f3n del VTT.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pl\u00e1sticos duraderos y reciclables: el nuevo destino del CO\u2082 capturado<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno de los principales logros del proyecto Forest CUMP es demostrar que el CO\u2082 capturado de forma sostenible puede convertirse en pl\u00e1sticos de larga duraci\u00f3n, como revestimientos para cables el\u00e9ctricos, tuber\u00edas y<strong> envases reciclables.<\/strong> Esta soluci\u00f3n contribuye directamente a la econom\u00eda circular y al uso responsable de los recursos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cEl carbono biog\u00e9nico puede ser integrado en productos pl\u00e1sticos duraderos.
